5 Myths About Being An Entrepreneur

5 Myths About
Being An

If you’re looking for a feel good post about why you should quit your secure 9 to 5 job and become an entrepreneur, this is not the post for you. Being an entrepreneur is great and I wouldn’t trade it for a desk job, but there are some things aspiring (or existing) entrepreneurs should know.
#1 You’re going to be insanely successful. You are not the next Mark Zuckerberg. Sorry, you’re not and I’m not. If you have the idea that you’re going to sit down and create the next Facebook and be worth billions of dollars in seven to 10 years, it’s not going to happen. Am I saying it’s not good to dream big? No. I’m saying there is only one Facebook and only one Mark Zuckerberg in this world.
#2 Entrepreneurs have a very flexible work schedule. They can work three to four hours a day and have plenty of time to goof off. I know I’m not alone when I say that entrepreneurs don’t have the luxury of ending our workday abruptly at 5pm. When you own your own company or work for someone who does, you have to put in the extra hours and the extra effort to make things happen. If you aren’t ready to work some pretty long days, you probably aren’t cut out for being an entrepreneur.
#3 Entrepreneurs can take off when they want — after all, you’re the boss, right? Remember all those times you used to be able to party on random nights of the week or just take off for a weekend with your friends? Not if you want to keep your business afloat the first year (or two, three, four, etc). Now I’m not saying you won’t ever get time off, but most entrepreneurs live, eat and breathe their businesses and a lot of times partying gets pushed to the wayside. What’s more important: Doing keg stands with college buddies or generating income so you can pay bills the next couple months?
#4 Working from home means you’ll have more time for your relationship, your pets, taking care of your home, etc. Wrong. Because you work from home, it’s like you live in this constant state of never finishing anything. You start cleaning the dishes and then think of a great idea or feature for your company. Instead of taking your significant other out to a nice meal, you ask to get drive thru so you can get back to work quicker. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked over at my dog and it looks like he’s crossing his legs because he needs to go outside (and I love my dog to death!).
#5 Everyone wants to have your job. I’m guessing it’s because people genuinely don’t love their jobs, but they think you have this perfect setup where you get to work and play all day long. I always hear things like “At least you don’t have to deal with a commute” or “I have so many worthless meetings and calls, you’re lucky”. Do you want to trade the last three days I worked 18 hours and had to go above and beyond to appease clients? No, no you don’t.
For all the starving entrepreneurs out there, keep fighting the good fight. We’re all doing things we love and enjoy, and that’s what matters. I may not be building the next Facebook, but I am excited about controlling my own destiny and knowing the harder I work, the more results I see.

Cheers!

3 Ways To Start Making Money In Your Business Today!

3 Ways To Start Making Money In Your Business Today!

Welcome Back to “TheSeekersWill”!

Today I am going to share an article that I read before and I felt was a vital piece of information to many aspiring and veterans alike. But first, I was asked recently why you had your blog named “TheSeekersWill”? Let me shed some light to that first.

I first heard the word “Seeker” or should I say I first put value on the word Seeker when I heard it from my first mentor. “You should always have a seekers mindset”, true enough since it was my first in this industry I learned early to be hungry for knowledge. To “Seek” out information, To “Seek” knowledge for a great knowledge base + action = success in this career and surely everyone wants success. The “Will” part, well I believe that’s self explanatory but for me “Will” means the capability to fight, to withstand and be strong in all challenges, the Will to succeed.

So whats the relation between my Blogs name and the topic? Success is something you attain when you are equip with the right know how, who do you get it? You SEEK for it. That being said, let’s go back to our focus for today.

Success is no easy path but definitely worth any challenge so what makes success attainable per say? Its knowledge coming from those who actually came and conquer those adversaries that proves vital to those who are in need of help. It’s better to avoid pitfalls if we can and the best way to do that is to learn from those who conquered them.

The author of the article simply put it into 3 important keys that every   aspiring new blood or even veteran may need to refresh on. It’s simple, straight forward and understandable why he mentioned it as the 3 Keys. No need for “rocket science here people”.  What you immediately realize after reading it is the money that you can save and earn in the next weeks or months if you take his advice under consideration.  Another notable item here is the sincerity of the advice, no sales pitch for “buy my program”, “follow my system for a guarantee” but rather a modest advice.

As old as the article is, the concept and ideas are still the same. I recommend that you read the whole article, its short anyway and its worth your time. You can find the article here

Cheers!

Why Not You ? By Steve Maraboli

As I was going through my Sunday chores and enjoying the Sunday heat wave, I got a few seconds to check something online and I saw one of my colleague’s post that inspired me.

Since I was thinking about the power of positive affirmation that this strike me in the right spot at the right time. In any case, I wanted to share the inspiration he gave to others as well.

Today, many will awaken with a fresh sense of inspiration. Why not you?

Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you?

Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?

Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you?

Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to live in such a manner that they will be a positive role model for their children. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to free themselves from the personal imprisonment of their bad habits. Why not you?

Today, many will choose to live free of conditions and rules governing their own happiness. Why not you?

Today, many will find abundance in simplicity. Why not you?

Today, many will be confronted by difficult moral choices and they will choose to do what is right instead of what is beneficial. Why not you?

Today, many will decide to no longer sit back with a victim mentality, but to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. Why not you?

Today, many will take the action necessary to make a difference. Why not you?

Today, many will make the commitment to be a better mother, father, son, daughter, student, teacher, worker, boss, brother, sister, & so much more. Why not you?

Today is a new day!
Many will seize this day.
Many will live it to the fullest.

Why not you?
